I’m led down the pristine concrete hallway. Lights glare into my eyes from their oh-so-conveniently placed positions along the walls. The guards aren’t bothered; their tinted visors protect them from the cold white light. I attempt to protect my eyes by looking down, but find no relief in viewing my shackled hands. Giving up, we slowly continue towards the bright red door at the end of the passage. Finally, we’re here. The guards take up positions on either side of the door and motion for me to enter.
